Additional Support Needs
There really is something for everyone at the circus and we are happy to accommodate a range of support needs and can offer specialist workshops at our home in Paisley, or we can bring the circus to you anywhere in Scotland. Our coaches are experienced in working with physical as well as intellectual disabilities, giving everyone the chance to learn, have fun and be expressive.
Email info@communitycircus.co.uk and we’ll be more than happy to work out a plan.
Our Specialist Team
Megan Ó Ceallacháin
She/Her
Megan is a qualified Occupational Therapist who began her circus journey in 2017 as a way of improving her fitness. What started as a once a week hobby very quickly became a passion. The goal of fitness became secondary to the fun and playfulness of the circus. She could see the greater benefits to circus, providing opportunities for creativity, play, and expression; as well as building physical, cognitive, emotional and social capacities. This lead to her qualifying as a Holistic Circus Therapist. She enjoys using her skills as an Occupational Therapist to enhance accessibility and inclusivity within the circus world, whilst sharing her passion for all things circus with individuals and the local community.
